We discovered Eagle Cove on our second day and it quickly became a favorite beach. The crisp waves washed against a sandy beach that intertwined itself with small rocks and pebbles. In the distance piles of drift wood lay tossed about waiting to be transformed into a fort, a raft or the perfect walking stick. I tried to capture the glistening sun that softly danced across the ocean water.

I don't know if I succeeded, but I will always remember the look of that light.

And of course, no vacation of ours is complete without good food, fine wine and music. We were fortunate enough to spend a few days with some amazing friends. Thank you for sharing your home with us (this post) and the sweet sounds of your music. It was truly enjoyable. Joshua still walks around humming the words of "Eyes of the World."
