We discovered Dead man Cove tucked away down an overgrown path of tall trees and long vines. The narrow path slowly led us to the field of driftwood that lay tossed about on the grains of sand. The sand that quickly became a row of wet pebbles that felt cool when our bare feet touched them. The water was not any warmer, but it carried a feeling of summer. As we ran into the open sea we quickly returned to the pebbles, to the driftwood, to feel the warm sunlight on our skin.

There was a hint of magic intertwined in the salty sea air.
A feeling I hope I never forget.
