The weekend is here and we're ready to welcome her with open arms. As I quickly type this, I am off to make a round of hot cocoas and sit on the couch to watch Arthur Christmas with the boys. Then it's off to bed for the little ones and a quick pick up of the house for me. I've fallen into the routine of relaxing on Friday nights and I'm looking forward to my hot bath, a good book, a glass of wine and, if I'm lucky, painting my nails without any disturbances. Chances are I won't, but I'll certainly try.
Speaking of books, after watching The Killing and becoming completely absorbed into that show, I've decided to start reading more mystery/crimes novels. While this genre always grabs my attention, it's hard to find good, well written crime fiction. My mom has suggested a couple authors from Norway and Iceland. Do you have any suggestions?
Ooo, you need to share what you come up with! Other than Gone Girl and John Grisham I haven't ready many mystery/crime novels, but I'd love to.

I just started Snowman by Jo Nesbo and it's pretty good! I don't want to put it down, so that's a good sign. My mom swears by her list of Icelandic and Swedish authors.

Deleteso, our floors are actually a laminate. our original plan was hardwood, but then when we started "shopping" there were so many options. i started to like the engineered wood and ended up really liking the laminate. and it has a lifetime warranty! with three kids and a big dog it just makes sense to put it upstairs. so far, i highly recommend it!
