I realize how behind I am on these posts. Life has been consumed with our day to day livings and the happiness of summer. I have a personal rule that I don't work on my blog during the day, unless kids are napping or at a play date. I save my blog time for the evenings when they are tucked away in bed dreaming the night away. The problem with summer is that bed time has been pushed back, we usually have something going on and if we don't it's a family movie. So, blogging has been put on the back burner.

I'm ready to knock out these last days of our trip and move on to new and exciting posts.

July 4th on the island reminded me of some of the past July 4ths that we celebrated in North Carolina and Maine. Small towns, quaint parades, locals gathering together and, of course, good food. We started the day off with a parade, lunch at the best mexican restaurant, a whale watching tour, dinner at home and children falling asleep on the deck under the stars.

I'm ready to go back and relive all these amazing experiences!
