Oh Creativity!

I am SO excited! I have gone a little overboard with my ordering and have lots of new goodies to work with....now I just need the time! I can't wait to get started on my new pieces for spring. I seem to be working with a lot more gold these days, but don't worry I am working with silver too.

Summer always reminds me of beachy days and nautical themes and I am planning on keeping that in mind for my spring and summer jewelry. Look for chunky necklaces, long necklaces and lots of layering. And of course, I always love delicate pieces. I have been having so much fun working with vintage so I will continue my theme of "reuse reduce recycle" especially with earth day right around the corner. In fact, my best friend's grandpa gave me a HUGE bag of vintage jewelry and I am able to use everything.
I love it and can't wait to get started!

I'll keep everyone posted with updates and pictures as I continue to work away on new pieces.

Kimono as Art
True Inspiration

Kimono as Art: The Landscapes of Itchiku Kubota features forty oversized kimono created by Master Kubota. Kimono will tour the United States for six months with only two stops: San Diego, California and Canton, Ohio.

What can I say....this is so exciting for Canton, Ohio! This exhibit has truly inspired our town and we are ready to celebrate it's arrival. We have been preparing for some time and now it is down the the final moments. This exhibit has inspired my work in several ways. I have created a whole new line of Asian influenced jewelry just for this event. Below are a couple pictures, but I have several pieces. I will have everything displayed at First Friday on February 6th. After that event the pieces will be on my website.

This piece is created with a clay pendant made by Love to Clay,
sterling silver chain and fresh water pearls.

I just love these delicate earrings! They are made with vintage hand painted cabs from Japan.
